Cracks in the Ice

"It's a long road ahead. Sometimes, they don't realise they have an addiction or a problem, you have to give compassion and you have to give support and understanding. It's a disease. You gotta give hard boundaries but you do it with love, kindness and you do it with sympathy and a lot of understanding.”

— Robyn

This series of films explores representations of people impacted by crystal methamphetamine (Ice) in creative interpretations of testimonies collected by the Matilda Centre, at The University of Sydney.

Challenging traditional representations of methamphetamine use, we meet a person who uses, a family member of a user, and a health worker, to convey their complex experiences and highlight the understanding that recovery is possible.
