Connected to Country

Grounded in First Nations knowledges, Connected to Country is a digital archive and immersive audio experience revitalising relationships between Elders and young Mob.

More than a podcast, this immersive audio experience amplifies the wisdom of Australian First Nations Elders, custodians of the world’s oldest living culture. Through intergenerational storytelling, young people will preserve oral traditions while confronting the urgent and connected challenges of climate action, cultural survival and environmental stewardship.

Being connected to Country is better than having an ounce of gold to me. And I mean that… I reckon every Aboriginal person should have a right to go back and be connected to their Country.”

— Uncle Badger Bates, Barkandji Elder
